I viewed this video this morning 29th August New Zealand date/time. The guys filming the car are real patriots.
The car is surrounded by gravel. The nearest burnt grass is, perhaps, 8m away; unburnt grass is short. A grass fire travels quickly & if it is short grass there is a lack of fuel, so any heat will dissipate quickly. I looked ar some of the YouTube comments. Some believe that the damage to the car was done by a grass fire – which did not reach the car anyway. These people are dumb. I was burning a huge pile of branches on my property (I’ve done this many times) – the radiant heat was very hot. The long grass caught fire. I had a hose & tried to put out the fire, but failed. The grass fire did not burn me, even though I was close. A neighbour called the fire brigade, who doused the grass fire.The “experts” making these stupid statements are fools, with no practical experience.
